Mosholu Golf Course is a 9-hole golf course renovated by Stephen Kay and Doug Smith in 2006 that dates back more than a century. The course is home to The First Tee of Metropolitan New York, teaching thousands of young people positive values through the game of golf each year and serving as the headquarters for this regional youth development organization.  Located right off of Exit 13 of Deegan Expressway (87) and very accessible for those who live and work in lower Westchester County.
Responsibilities:
The equipment manager will maintain and repair all golf course equipment, perform all necessary preventative maintenance, maintain a safe and clean shop area, work with
superintendent to ensure budget goals are met, and assist with other tasks as needed. This is a part time position that will be for approximately 10 hours/week that can be performed late in the day or on weekends.

Requirements:

Golf course experience is preferred. Candidate must have excellent mechanical and problem solving skills as well as experience with electrical and hydraulic systems. Having your own tools is a plus.

Knollwood is a private country club located just outside of White Plains, NY. The course is located about 25 minutes north of the NYC.  Founded in 1894, we are one of the oldest country clubs in the country. In 1927 the club hired a renowned golf course architect, Seth Raynor, to rebuild the golf course. Knollwood has hired Ian Andrew to bring the golf course back to original design intent.  Some of the work has already started and will continue over the next 2 to 3 years.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable renovation and management experience. 
Responsibilities:
Sprayer calibration and application.  Management of unionized staff on a daily basis.  Assist superintendent and 1st assistant in tracking of hours and labor budget issues.

Qualifications:

Course:

Pound Ridge Golf Club is a privately owned, high-end daily fee golf facility that opened in 2008.  The golf course was designed by Pete Dye and has a great variety of architectural features that offer a unique challenge for both the golfer and the turf maintenance professional. The sand based USGA Greens (with a choker layer) were seeded to A-4 Bentgrass and tees and fairways were seeded to L-93 Bentgrass. The primary roughs are Kentucky Bluegrass with Fescue mounds as secondary roughs. There are 106 sand bunkers placed strategically throughout the course. 
Responsibilities:
To assist the Superintendent and First Assistant with all daily operations including course set-up, scouting for pest infestations, pesticide/ fertilizer applications, topdressing, mowing, crew supervision and equipment preventative maintenance in the winter time.

Qualifications:

Two/Four year degree or Winter School Certificate in Turf Management/Horticulture preferred. Applicant must have or obtain a NYSDEC Pesticide Applicator’s License, a Certified Pesticide Technicians permit or train as an apprentice. Prior golf course experience is preferred.

The Club is set on 220-acres in lower Westchester County, located 25 miles north of New York City. The facilities include an 18-hole Tillinghast designed golf course. Hollow Brook Golf Club, opened in June of 2005, is an 18-hole private facility in northern Westchester County designed by Eric Bergstol. The course is approximately 6900 yards. The greens, tees and fairways are all bentgrass.

Wykagyl Country Club is one of the premier golf facilities in Westchester County, NY.  The club is located just 20 miles north of New York City.  We will be hosting the 2013 Ike Championship.  This event will be a great learning experience for someone interested in tournament preparations.  Wykagyl Country Club was established in 1898.  It has a long and storied history of hosting PGA and LPGA events and is regarded as one of the top conditioned golf courses in the area.  In 2006, Wykagyl installed a new irrigation system, renovated all tee complexes and bunkers.  Also expanded greens and fairways while incorporating native areas throughout the property.
